14th Kohima District Table Tennis Championship concludes

DIMAPUR, Aug 17 (NPN)

The 14th Kohima District Table Tennis Championship cum Veterans Open was held from August 14 to 16, at the Kohima Indoor Table Tennis Stadium, drawing a total of 82 participants across various categories. The event consists of 65 male and 17 female players and concluded with strong community support.
The championship was sponsored by parents and guardians of young table tennis players, along with contributions from TT veterans including Vikuo Metha, Kezhaletuo Meze, Chombenthung Ovung, Mayangba, Temjen Jamir, Roland Ngullie, and Tsakhe Kenye.
Seyievilie Seyie clinched the Men’s Singles title for the sixth time, while Thejavinuo Rio secured her eighth Women’s Singles championship, reaffirming their dominance in the district’s table tennis scene.
The top three winners from each category have been selected to represent Kohima District at the upcoming Inter-District Table Tennis Championship, scheduled to be held from September 30 to October 3, 2025, at the same venue.
