15-day skill development training underway at Pfutsero

A 15-day skill development training programme on banana fiber extraction and handicrafts got underway on November 16 at Pfutsero.


According to a DIPR report, the training organised by the Chakhesang Mother’s Association in collaboration with DIC Chozuba and in partnership with the Nagaland Tools and Training Centre (NTTC) Dimapur was inaugurated by Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA.


Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr. Neisatuo Mero advised the trainees to maximize this opportunity to acquire valuable skills and technical expertise. Emphasizing the importance of hard work, dedication, and consistency, he encouraged participants to aspire to become successful entrepreneurs.


The MLA also appreciated the organizers and the department involved.
Dr. Mero also highlighted the recent enactment of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2023 during the emergent Assembly session. He anticipated that the upcoming elections for municipal and urban local bodies would contribute to the overall development of the state.

The programme was chaired by Avevo Tunyi, invocation was said by Rev. Dr. Kuzhopoyo Tunyi of CMCC, welcome note was delivered by Pfutsero Ward chairman Vekielie Venuh while CMA president, Zhonulü Tunyi, shared insights into concerns and challenges, GM of DIC Chozuba, Cholzo Sophie spoke on skilling and employability, and the benediction was pronounced by Kedowepe Mero.
