15 pharmacy licences cancelled in Niuland

DIMAPUR, JUL 1 (NPN)

Licences of at least 15 pharmacies under Niuland district have been cancelled due to non-compliance of show cause notice violating Rule 65(2) of D&C Rules 1945 and section 42 of the Pharmacy Act 1948.
According to DIPR report, the licences were cancelled as per the order issued by the State Drugs Control Administration.
The report stated that a joint enforcement drive was carried out in pharmacies under Niuland district on July 1 in an effort to regulate pharmacies as per Drugs & Cosmetic Act, 1940 & Rules 1945. The joint team included Niuland district administration, police and chief medical office Dimapur led by asst. drugs controller, Martemjen Longkumer, and DCO Boto Sema.
