173Bn CRPF distributes solar lamps under CAP

DIMAPUR: The 173 Bn CRPF organised a Civic Action Programme at F/173 Bn CRPF, Powergrid, Dimapur, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) for the year 2026–27. As part of the initiative, solar lamps were distributed to beneficiaries from Kuda B Village, Full Nagarjan, Phaipijang and nearby villages.
Addressing the gathering, Withuiliu Newmai, AC, Officer Commanding F/173 Bn CRPF, expressed happiness over the organisation of the programme and emphasised the CRPF’s commitment to serving the local community through various civic initiatives. She said such programmes play an important role in bridging the gap between security forces and the local populace, while strengthening mutual trust, cooperation and goodwill.
A total of 16 families benefited from the distribution of solar lamps. The initiative was widely appreciated by beneficiaries and local residents.
The programme was attended by Dr. Kaustav Jyoti Kalita, Chief Manager, Powergrid Dimapur, chairman, Gaon Buras (GBs) and other prominent local representatives.
