Hornbill Festival 2018 attracted a record 2,51,701 visitors this year, showing an increase in comparison to last year’s figure 2,43,214.
The 10-day annual hornbill festival, inaugurated by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at Naga Heritage village, Kisama on December 1, 2018, came to an end on Monday.
Out of the total visitors, 2,702 were foreign tourists, 37,397 domestic tourists and 2, 11,602 local tourists.
On the last of the festival, around 12,128 people including 136 foreign tourists, 1,667 domestic tourists and 10,325 local tourists visited Kisama. This year, the highest turn out of visitors was on December 9 — 69,854.
