19th Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball tournament from Sep 22

DIMAPUR, AUG 25 (NPN): The Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA) has announced that the 19th Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Tournament 2026 will be held from September 22 to 25 the Multi Sports Complex, Mokokchung.
The tournament, organized as an open volleyball competition, carries a total prize money of Rs. 2,20,000, underscoring its significance in promoting volleyball in the state. The champion team will receive Rs. 1,00,000, while the runner-up will be awarded Rs. 70,000. Teams finishing in third and fourth places will be given Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively.
In addition to team prizes, individual awards of Rs. 5,000 each will be presented for Best Spiker, Best Setter, Player of the Tournament and Emerging Player. To encourage wider participation, a grant of Rs. 5,000 per team will also be provided to a maximum of 12 teams.
The registration process will begin with the issue of forms on September 1, and the last date for submission is September 16. The draw of fixtures will be conducted on September 19. A maximum of 16 teams will be allowed to register, strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, with registration being conducted through Google Forms.
To encourage wider participation, each team that does not reach the semifinal stage will receive a participation grant of Rs. 5,000. Teams traveling from outside Mokokchung will also be eligible for a travel allowance of up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000.

The organising committee has extended an invitation to volleyball teams and sports enthusiasts to participate in and support the tournament, which continues the legacy of the memorial event and its contribution to the promotion of volleyball in Nagaland. Registration opens on September 1, and interested teams are encouraged to register early as only 16 slots will be accommodated.
