DIMAPUR, OCT 4 (NPN): The Nagaland Sport Climbing Association (NSCA) conducted the 1st Nagaland Open Top Rope Sport Climbing Competition in Dimapur, bringing together young and emerging climbers from various schools and institutions to showcase their talent, determination and passion for sport climbing.
A total of 120 participants from different schools and institutions competed across various categories. The event provided young climbers with a platform to gain competitive experience, build confidence and demonstrate their abilities in top-rope sport climbing.
The competition also witnessed participation from the neighbouring state of Assam, with climbers representing the Karbi Anglong Mountaineering Association (KAMA). Their presence added a spirit of friendship and sporting exchange between the two neighbouring states.

The successful conduct of the competition was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the technical team, officials, volunteers and organisers, who ensured the smooth and safe execution of all events.
The NSCA stated that the competition was organised with the objective of providing a platform for young climbers to compete, learn and develop their skills while creating greater awareness and interest in sport climbing across the state.
The association expressed gratitude to all participating schools, parents, athletes, officials, volunteers, supporters and the Karbi Anglong Mountaineering Association for helping make the inaugural edition of the competition a success.
