1st open inter-village Futsal tourney

Kohima, May 31(NPN)

The two-day, 1st Open Inter-Village Futsal Tournament (7 Aside) concluded on Saturday at L Viluo Fifa Pro Turf, Meriema.
A total of 22 teams from various villages participated in the tournament.
In the final, Mez and Co Kohima Village defeated Chedema Village FC to emerge as the champions.
Ruovisielie Shüya of Bravado FC Meriema and Young Boys FC, Zhadima were awarded as best goal keeper and best disciplined team respectively.
Earlier, in the opening ceremony, Viluo Angami Owner of L Viluo Fifa Pro Turf said that the motive behind organizing the tournament was to bring together players from different villages and uplift the spirit of sportsmanship.
