Following a complaint lodged by residents of Rail Gate colony with regard to outbreak of fire in the colony late Thursday night, Dimapur Police Saturday arrested a couple and booked them under section relating to arson.
Police, quoting residents, said the couple identified as Atai Tangkhul and Apale Zeliang were quarrelling in their kitchen when the fire in their hearth fire spread to the house and soon engulfed other adjoining houses.
Meanwhile, colony members and the couple also signed an agreement wherein the couple was banished from the colony for a period of five years.
