Dimapur police during the last fortnight arrested two persons for possession of illegal fire arms and extortion on two separate occasions, said Addl. Dy Commissioner of Police/PRO in a statement. On January 18, patrolling party of C/13 NAP (IR) apprehended one person identified as Temsuliba Jamir, reportedly a ‘Major’ of GPRN/NSCN, for illegal possession of a .22 pistol with one live round.In another incident on January 15, patrolling party of B/11 NAP (IR) apprehended one person identified as Atoka Achumi reportedly ‘sgt major’ of NSCN (R) was arrested from Blue Hill area while extorting money, PRO said. One .32 pistol with five live rounds was seized from his possession.
