Based on FIR filed by a jawan of 8th Assam Rifles (Transit Camp), a combined search party consisting of public, police and AR personnel recovered two bodies from the Dhansiri River, Saturday. Police said the deceased who reportedly drowned on Friday were identified as Ajay Singh (18), son of Jagal Singh from Manipur and Rajiv Kanwar, son of Ranjit Kanwar of Sibsagar. Both Ajay and Rajiv were recently recruited into the Assam Rifles, police said.
