
To promote trade and export of local agri-horti produces, processed food products, handloom & handicrafts and various exportable products from the State, a two-day Vanijya Utsav is being organized at Urban Haat here on September 21 and 22.
With a focus to promote economic growth and showcase the State’s export potentials, the event is being organised as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a celebration to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence, by the industries & commerce department along with the Union ministry of commerce &industry, Agricultural and Export Products Development Authority of India (APEDA) and Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
Industries &commerce, labour &employment and skill development &entrepreneurship adviser Imnatiba Jamir will attend the inaugural programme.
During the event, local exhibitors will showcase various local produces and products.
Distinguished resource persons and speakers from various Central and State government departments, export promotion councils, Export Import Bank and eminent entrepreneurs will be sharing various prospects of exports and assistances available to support entrepreneurs to take their business further.
Since there will be many interested persons from across the State and districts who will not be able to participate physically, the event will be streamed live online.
