2 excommunicated by Mukhami VC

Mukhami Village Council (MVC) has excommunicated Puloka Awomi, son of Abel Aswomi and Pikato Shohe, son of Hetovi Shohe for the alleged murder of late Lunkholal Singson, son of Helkhalal of Sirhima Village, Dimapur.
In a press release, MVC chairman and GB, Hokiye Assumi, stated that the village council had adopted three-point resolutions which include excommunication of the duo from the village for “life term” w.e.f. March 17, 2018. The council also resolved that in the event of their future presence within the village and its areas through any person or persons, liability of expulsion or excommunication shall be enforced as per the law of the land. MVC also resolved that the mortal remains of the duo shall not be brought to the village and its area. Meanwhile, MVC, while vehemently condemning the murder, has also regretted that such act was committed by its citizens and urged all to condemn it. The council has further prayed that the Almighty grant solace and strength to the bereaved family and friends.
