2 girl cadets selected for RDC camp

Two cadets of Army senior wing (SW), 1 Nagaland girls battalion NCC, NCC group, Kohima made it to the prestigious, Republic Day Contingent (RDC) Camp as part of the NCC Directorate North East Region (NER), which for this time had reduced vacancies due to COVID protocol. 

According to PRO (Defence) Kohima, after relentless training, three SW cadets out of many volunteers were selected to attend the NER Dte Pre RDC-I camp held at NCC Academy Jorhat, Assam from November 22.
All three cadets got selected for the pre Republic Day Contingent II camp and Pre RDC-III camp. 
In the final selection, conducted by ADG NCC of North East Region Dte, two cadets cleared the test.
The girl cadets selected were SUO Rokovino, Kohima College and Sgt Zuchobeni St Joseph’ College (Autonomous).
The cadets were trained under the aegis of NCC Group HQ Kohima by CO 1 Nagaland girls battalion NCC, Col Avinash D Pitre and Hav Sempithung Lotha.
The selected cadets proceeded to New Delhi on December 18 to attend the Republic Day Camp (RDC) and shall be returning in February 2021.
