Anti extortion team of DEF Dimapur apprehended two persons while they were allegedly trying to extort money from shopkeepers at Supply Colony area Dimapur January 5.
In a press release, Dimapur police PRO said the apprehended accused have been identified as one “capt.” Hekato Achumi (22) of NNC (NA), son of Visheto Achumi, Vishepu village, Zunheboto, currently residing at Niu colony, Burma Camp and Chulen Chang (36), son of Sako Chang, Chingbulen village, Tuensang, also residing at Niu Colony.
PRO said accordingly a regular case was registered with West police station vide West PS C/No. 0001/15 U/S 384/34 IPC R/W 7 NSR 62’ and further investigation was on.
