2 killed in factional clash

In another clash between the rival NSCN factions at S. Hetoyi village, some 9 kms away from the new ‘NSCN/GPRN’ designated camp at Khehoi village, two persons including a villager and an ‘NSCN (K)’ activist were killed on Saturday.
According to police, the exchange of fire took place at around 12 noon at S Hetoyi village between the NSCN (I-M) and ‘NSCN (K).’
One ‘NSCN (K)’ cadre identified as ‘Pvt’ Akheto, son of Khunito of Phuhoto village died on the spot, while another civilian identified as T Hetovi Ayemi of S Hetoyi village, succumbed to bullet injuries at Dimapur Civil Hospital.
Police said Hetovi was reportedly on his sick bed when NSCN (I-M) activists barged into his house and fired four shots at him.
The victim was then dragged out of his house and kept in an open space while the house was set on fire. Hetovi who was rushed to Dimapur Civil Hospital, later succumbed to injuries.
