Government of India has appointed two Nagaland Police Service (NPS) officers to the Indian Police Service (IPS) and allocated the Nagaland cadre. In a notification issue by the Home ministry, the appointment of the two NPS officers– T. Chumrenthung and Yanithung Ezung, was approved by UPSC from the select list of 2021 prepared by the selection committee.
