2 students from Nagaland selected for SSHP in Japan

DIMAPUR

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, under Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, has selected two outstanding students from government schools in Nagaland for the Sakura Science High School Program (SSHP) in Japan.
A DIPR report informed that the selected students are Shethilu Medeo from Ruzhukhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima, and Iris Zomawii Lushai from Chumoukedima Government Higher Secondary School, Chumoukedima. They are currently studying science in government higher secondary schools.
SSHP is an international Youth Exchange Program in science, organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and supported by India’s Ministry of Education (MoE). The program promotes scientific learning, cultural exchange, and international collaboration among talented students.
Gihukali Sema, PGT at Chumoukedima Government Higher Secondary School, has been selected as their supervisor.
The SSHP 2025 Japan will take place from June 13 to 21, 2025. Sponsored by the Government of India. The seven-day programme includes visits to schools, universities, and various scientific and cultural sites in Japan. The students will also engage in activities and present their work.
