Kohima Police arrested two persons in connection with the death of an elderly person in the aftermath of a traffic-related scuffle in Kohima on May 18. According to PRO Kohima police, a report was received at North Police Station on Saturday evening that an elderly person had been hospitalised at a private hospital following a physical assault by some individuals following a traffic-related scuffle.
PRO said that the victim, identified as Kezhalelie Lawrence, subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
In this regard, a criminal case has been registered (U/S 323/325/352/302 IPC) at North Police Station, while two accused– Neizosetuo Kire (24 years) and Khrietsonyü Whuorie (25 years)– have been arrested, PRO said.
