2021 Gordon Graham prize: KES announce shortlisted books

Kohima Educational Society (KES) has announced shortlisted books for the “2021 Gordon Graham Prize for Naga Literature”.

In a press release, KES informed that the books would be reviewed by an independent panel of three judges and would announce the winner of each category in November 2021.

The books shortlisted are – (fiction category) Dreams and Chaos by Sentilong Ozukum, Once Upon a Time in Kohima by Konaei Shongdok, The Unlikely Indian by Nzan Kikon and Waiting for the Dust to Settle by Veio Pou; (non-fiction category) A Beginner’s Guide to the Butterflies of the Himalayan Realm by Wonchi and Mhayani Murry, Infrastructure of Injustice: State and Politics in Manipur and Northeast India by Raile Rocky Ziipao, The Chang Nagas: In Memory of Our Ancestors by Wongto Chingmak, The Lost Mission: A true story of love, sacrifice & betrayal by Pekingto Y Jimo, Thipuzu: A World of its Own by Sezolü Khamu and a Girl Swallowed by a Tree: Lotha Naga Tales Retold by Nzanmongi Jasmine Patton.
