Despite stiff opposition by the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) along with 12 tribal organisations to the inauguration of work on the Foothills Road, two construction companies — M/s Chabou & Co and M/s JK Construction — that failed to sign agreement with the NFHRCC over road construction formally began work on Friday at Khumjo Yan (village) under Bhandari sub-division of Wokha district in the presence of local legislator Achumbemo Kikon.
