Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed that they have received several complains of “unauthorized” checking by individuals/organizations/bodies in markets within DMC’s jurisdiction.

In a major relief to the commuters, the refurbished Road Over Bridge (RoB) near Dimapur District Sports Council (DDSC) complex here is set to be thrown open for traffic starting February 2, 2025. ROB was closed to all vehicular traffic starting October 1, 2024 to facilitate rehabilitation work.

NSCN (I-M) vice-president Tongmeth Wangnao has accused the central government agencies of unethical conduct. In his speech on the occasion of the 46th Raising Day, Wangnao alleged that though the NSCN (I-M) had been talking with the Centre for the past more than 27 years on the strength of truth behind the Naga political movement, the central government agencies had indulged themselves in unethical conduct to create many enemies behind the Naga political talks.

Tikhak and NSCN/GPRN (K) ato kilonser ‘col.’ (Retd) Isak Sumi-- as working conveners, the WC/NNPGs group led by GPRN/NSCN ato kilonser N Kitovi Zhimomi, declared that it would not allow any element to denounce the historic Agreed Position signed on November 17, 2017.
