Ao bodies warn Khango-led NSCN for targeting Aolemba

Ao Civil bodies-- Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) and Ao Senso Telongjem Chümoukedima- have in separate statements, expressed strong condemnations and serious concern -over targeting a prominent Ao entrepreneur Aolemba Longkumer by NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Hokato Vusshe).

4.8 magnitude earthquake hits Nagaland, NE

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck Nagaland and several North Eastern states, leaving residents startled but causing no reported loss of life or property damage.

Former State chaplain Rev. Lurho passes away

Former State Chaplain Rev. K. Luruo passed away on January 24, at CIHSR, Chümoukedima, after a prolonged illness. In a condolence message, chief minister Neiphiu Rio said, Rev. Luruo, a loyal servant of God, held various significant positions, including Education Secretary of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and executive secretary of Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC). He was known for his unwavering commitment to his ministry and his efforts to promote unity and brotherhood among the Naga communities, Rio said. HE said Rev. Luruo was a passionate and dedicated individual who advocated unity and brotherhood among the Naga communities.

DCMO refutes WSH allegation

The deputy chief minister’s office (DCMO) has refuted the Western Sumi Hoho’s (WSH) allegation that rampant development activities in the disputed Kiyevi area were being carried out with the direct involvement, help, support and assistance of deputy chief minister Y Patton, along with another senior minister.

Traffic regulation for R-Day in Kohima

In view of the 76th Republic Day celebration at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima, Kohima police has enforced the following traffic regulations as part of the security arrangement. According to PRO of Kohima police, only vehicles with Car Pass ‘Z’ (Red) and Car Pass ‘Y’ (Purple) will be allowed entry to the Secretariat Plaza and shall be parked in the Northern part of the venue. Vehicles with Car Pass ‘X’ (Green) will drop their respective officers at the Main Gate and shall be parked outside the Secretariat Complex.
