India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that light to moderate rainfall at many places accompanied with thunderstorm activity at isolated places was likely over Northeastern states on Jan 7 & 8.

The two-day, 60th annual session of Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN) held under the theme, “Nature & Nurture: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders” concluded on January 5, 2025 at JSUN Central Park.

Assam Rifles celebrated year end with the locals of remote villages in Inbung and Vongkithen, Peren district on December 31, 2024. According to AR source, the celebration aimed to bring joy and foster a sense of togetherness in these communities as they welcome the New Year. The event featured celebrations and distribution of refreshments, spreading festive cheer and goodwill.

Thuni, the Chakhesang tribal festival will be celebrated from January 6 to 7 at Zhavame village under Phek district. The festival is organised by Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) in collaboration with Tourism department with Razeba Public Organization (RPO) as the host.
