The Faith in Action Martial Arts Academy organized a Taekwondo Black Belt Awarding Ceremony on February 28 at Immanuel Hall, Y. Zhimo Colony, Dimapur, where 21 Taekwondo players successfully earned their prestigious Kukkiwon Black Belt (Dan) certification.
The certificates, issued by Kukkiwon – World Taekwondo Headquarters, South Korea, represent international recognition, technical excellence and authentic mastery in the art of Taekwondo.
Tina Thapa was awarded Black Belt 2nd Dan, marking her advanced skill level and long-term dedication.
The following 20 players received Black Belt 1st Dan: Nito Tuccu, Imtichila Pongen, Echang W. Magdalene, Ithuka A. Awomi, Sebastian Thatal, Kevikito Sakhru, Atobo Awomi, Juli Tsuqu, Aahan Debnath, Kivu A. Awomi, Michael Sema, Imtirenla Imsong, Liku A. Awomi, Nishepe Zhimo, Kivika Zhimo, Hinoto Achumi, Lamgunhao Lotjem, Smaiham Lamgthasa, Talimoa Longchar and Toika Shohe.
The event was attended by parents, well-wishers and supporters, who witnessed the proud milestone. Each recipient was felicitated with their Dan Certificate in a dignified and inspiring atmosphere by the academy’s founder and director.
Addressing the gathering, the academy leadership emphasized that earning a Black Belt is not the end of the journey but the beginning of greater responsibility, urging recipients to uphold the core values of Taekwondo and serve as role models for junior students.
The academy expressed heartfelt gratitude to parents and the school authorities of Little Star Hr. Sec. School, Christian Hr. Sec. School and Westside Hr. Sec. School for their unwavering support.
