The second edition of Khuzama experience, coupled with folk song and folk fusion competition themed “Strings of the past and melody of the future,” is scheduled for December 16. The event will be organized through collaboration between Kekhrie Krotho and TaFMA.

Addressing a press conference at Hotel Japfu on November 25, the chief event manager, Nunese Sale informed that participant registration for the event will operate on a first-come-first-served basis with no fees and each performance item was allocated a maximum of three minutes, and registration will close once the projected event schedule is full.

The anticipated slot allocation is an average of 10 groups or individuals per category and all participants would receive certificates, and the venue will offer indigenous products and delicacies. TaFMA will provide opportunities for emerging performers to receive grooming, Sale informed.

Reflecting on the previous edition, Sale acknowledged the participation of six tribes and recognized some major loopholes, however, they expressed confidence in attracting more than 10 tribes this year. Sale emphasized that such events contribute to the growth of folk and fusion musicians, citing the success of Lidi Krou, who gained recognition and opportunities after winning last year, including a performance in front of the President and at various significant events.

Sale informed that Neilakuonuo Metha would serve as the event icon.
The competition will feature four categories: folk song (solo and group) and folk fusion (solo and group) and the Khuzama Experience is scheduled to commence from 10 am to 12 pm across five strategic locations.
