2nd phase census training in Meluri

DIMAPUR: The second phase of Census training for supervisors and enumerators under Meluri district commenced on June 22 at DB’s Court, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Meluri.
Welcoming the trainees, EAC Meluri and Charge Officer, Zuchibemo Ezung, emphasized that the Census would be conducted through an online digital platform and highlighted the importance of proper training to minimize errors in data collection. He noted the challenges faced by the newly created district and urged participants to work diligently and maintain accuracy to avoid cross enumeration and ensure successful conduct of the Census.
A total of 48 trainees from three blocks are attending the programme. Meluri Town Block is represented by 16 personnel, including 2 supervisors and 14 enumerators; Phokhungri Block has 14 participants, comprising 2 supervisors and 12 enumerators; while Phor Block is represented by 18 personnel, including 3 supervisors and 15 enumerators.
The training aims to equip supervisors and enumerators with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the Census exercise effectively and contribute to the compilation of reliable demographic data for the district.
