Kohima police on July 23, arrested three persons in connection with the physical assault of two drivers of LPG truck below Belho Gas Service godown at Kohima town on July 4 and July 9, and robbing mobile phones of the drivers.
According to Kohima police PRO, a team of Kohima police led by SDPO (North), apprehended all the three accused from Paramedical, Kohima.
The arrested accused persons have identified as Medophretuo Medeo (29) of Khulazu Bawe village, Pipenthung Humtsoe (29) of Pongitong village, Wokha, and Seyievilhou Phesao (26), Chozuba village.
PRO said the trio admitted to have committed the crime of assaulting the drivers. The accused have been forwarded to court and remanded to 48 hours police custody.
