Three villages namely Yongnyah village, Chingong village and Shamshangching village under Yongnyah Block of Longleng district have achieved 100% COVID-19 vaccination on August 8 and August 9 respectively.
In a press release, office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Longleng stated that the three villages have vaccinated its eligible population with 100% of second doses for 45 years and above and 100% of first doses for 18 years and above.
It said the first vaccination drive in the village started on February 18, 2021 where all beneficiaries were vaccinated except some members due to some health issues.
The department informed that those who were not vaccinated in the first vaccination drive were vaccinated in the following vaccination sessions conducted in the health unit.
