A three-year old boy, who was kidnapped by unknown miscreants on September 10, was rescued on Sunday near Bokajan area.
Soon after receiving the report, a police team launched an operation and rescued the boy in the wee hours of Sunday around 2 a.m. near Bokajan area under Karbi Anglong district.
According to police sources, it was a case of abduction for ransom.
Five persons were also apprehended in connection with the kidnapping case. No further details were divulged till the time of filing this report.
