30 ILP defaulters held

Kohima police during one month period, September last, apprehended 30 persons for non-possession of inner line permit (ILP), Kohima police said in a statement Thursday.
In this connection, eight cases have been registered, the statement said. All 30 ILP defaulters were booked under section 3 and 4 of Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act, 1873 (BEFR) and forwarded to the court.
To check entry of illegal immigrants in Kohima district Police stations in Kohima and check-gates, have been conducting various special checking regularly under DEF Kohima.
