The Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union (DLSU) has announced the commencement of the 30th Lt. Nyamo Lotha & Lt. Daniel Lotha Memorial Running Trophy, scheduled to be held from October 31 to November 6, at the Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex, State Stadium, Dimapur.
Organised annually in honour of Late Nyamo Lotha and Late Daniel Lotha, the tournament serves as a tribute to their pioneering contributions in promoting sportsmanship, unity and youth empowerment within the Lotha community and beyond.
This year’s edition will be held under the theme “Stronger Together,” reflecting the values of teamwork, collective growth and harmony through sports. The week-long event will witness participation from various teams across the district, showcasing athletic skill, discipline and passion for the game.
In addition to the competition, the tournament aims to foster community engagement and inspire youth to embrace sports as a means of building character and resilience. DLSU has extended an open invitation to sports enthusiasts, well-wishers and the general public to attend and support the event as it marks three decades of legacy and sporting excellence.
