31 AR nabs 2 NSCN (K) cadres, one FGN cadre

Personnel of 31 Assam Rifles had reportedly apprehended two NSCN (K) cadres and one FGN cadre January 3 last during operation against underground factions.
According to IGAR (N) PRO, based on specific input regarding movement of underground cadres in Leinak Ward, Longleng town, a party was launched by 31 Assam Rifles to counter the reported movement of cadres. AR personnel cordoned off the suspected house and carried out detailed search in presence of police representative, PRO said.
On thorough search, PRO said two NSCN (K) cadres indentified as T AnayangPhom, “chairman of NSCN (K)” and “private” Anke Phom and one FGN cadre “Leacy” Akham Chingham Phom were apprehended with arms and ammunitions and large number of incriminating documents.
The apprehended cadres were handed over to Longleng Police Station, said PRO.
