A free medical health camp sponsored by deputy chairperson Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Imlinaro Stephanie Ezung was organised in collaboration with Tikvah Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and District Hospital, Dimapur on Saturday at Osais, Nyamo Lotha colony, ward 21.
Around 345 people availed free services such as free consultations, dental check-ups, eye examinations, and specialized care in pediatrics, gynecology, and general medicine check-up at the camp.
Emphasizing health camp as a part of her manifesto commitment for community health and well-being, Imlinaro said she was fulfilling her promise to provide basic healthcare and essential services to the people. She said the doctors for the camp were some of the best from various hospitals. Imlinaro highlighted the lack of a primary health center in the area, mentioning that many people cannot even afford registration fees.
She pointed out that the ward consists of people from various areas, including Assam, and said that she not only cater to people who live in the ward but also those across the border.
She also mentioned that, depending on the needs and response from the community, more such camps will be organised if the doctors were available.
Imlinaro expressed gratitude for the support of doctors, staff, healthcare facilities, and well-wishers, and the participating institutions and professionals for their dedication and reaffirmed her commitment to prioritize health.
The health camp was assisted by specialists from District Hospital Dimapur, including Dr. Sentimongla (MO), Dr. Lichumo Ezung (Surgeon), and Lucy (DPO). Eden Medical Centre, Dr. Along C.Y (Medicine), Dr. Chumben Tungoe (Pediatrics), and Dr. Vili Swu (Obstetrics & Gynecology) participating. At the camp, free medicines, HIV and Syphilis testing, Pap Smear tests, spectacles, blood tests (including Sugar Random, Cholesterol, Calcium, and Hemoglobin), and free CT scans were conducted.
Meanwhile, Ward 21 Committee expressed gratitude to deputy chairperson, DMC and councillor Ward 21, Imlinaro Stephanie Ezung for organising the free health camp.
The committee also appreciated the yeomen service of Imlinaro for her compassionate service for the community and look forward for such programme.
