35+ MFL Season 6 concludes in Mkg

The 35+ Mokokchung Football League (MFL) Season 6 concluded on Sunday at Aongza under the theme “Fitness, Friendship & Fellowship”, marking a memorable closing ceremony with three major highlights — the crowning of Revenant FC as league champions for the sixth consecutive season, Wasang FC lifting the inaugural 35+ MFL Super Cup 2025, and the official launch of the 35+ MFL Vision League to nurture young football talents.
Revenant FC emerged as the league champions of 35+ MFL Season 6, while New Ecclesia was the runners-up. Tongpangkokba (Revenant FC) bagged the Best Midfielder award; Best Defender by Tiayanger (Revenant FC); Best Goalkeeper by Talilepba Jamir; Player of the League by Moatemsü (New Ecclesia); Highest Scorer by Arennungsang (Revenant FC) – 30 goals; Fair Play Award by Nova SC.
In 1st 35+ MFL Super Cup 2025, Wasang FC clinched the championship title; Revenant FC emerged as 1st Runners-up and Nova SC as 2nd runners-up. Best Goalkeeper was awarded to Imosanen (Wasang FC); Best Defender was bagged by Sentiyanger (Revenant FC); Best Midfielder by Tongpangkokba (Revenant FC); and Best Player by Imtiyanger (Wasang FC).
Senior Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, Vesapra Kezo, who also played for Nova FC, reflected on his seven-month-long association with the league. He described the season as a journey filled with excitement, action, rivalries, and challenges, while emphasizing that the friendships forged beyond the field were even more memorable. Kezo lauded the league for promoting fitness, discipline, and camaraderie, and congratulated the organizers for launching the Under-13 35+ MFL Vision League, calling it a noble initiative to guide the younger generation.
The Under-13 35+ MFL Vision League was officially launched by assistant commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajay Moktan. Convenor Tiakumzuk informed that the league is fully sponsored by Longterok Sports Management, led by proprietor of Nagaland Minerals & Mines, Temjenmoa, and will be played under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Football Association. He added that most of the U-13 players will be selected from the 120 participants who attended a coaching clinic in June 2025 under Barack FC head coach, Brando.
