38 nurses inducted for 10Bed ICU at NHAK

The induction programme for 38 nurses to 10Bed ICU was held at the NHAK auditorium, on June 30.
It may be noted that the 10 Bed ICU was officially launched by chief minister Neiphiu Rio, on January 6, 2023 with the objective of helping critical patients in remote and difficult areas to access the service of specialist doctors in the hub hospital through Tele-ICU at NHAK.
Speaking at the induction ceremony, Commissioner & Secretary H&FW Y Kikheto Sema, expressed gratitude to 10Bed ICU e-Gov for funding the remuneration for the 38 nurses for the initial three years.
He said that the nurses were lucky to be working with the most modern ICU equipment and wished them the best in their endeavors.
He mentioned that the 10-bed ICU hubs were one of the best gifts for the people of Nagaland both in terms of quality of equipment and the scope of its service.
Kikheto acknowledged Vinod Khosla, Nandan Nilekani, Srikanth Nadhamuni and eGov Foundation & team under the leadership of director, Bisoya Loitongbam, 10Bed ICU eGov foundation for their help and support.
10BedICU eGov, Foundation, Bisoya Loitongbam, director, while presenting the vision of the project said that their goal was to make it easier for the people living in remote areas to access to health care.
She requested the staff to maintain integrity and compassion for the people and also encouraged them to work hard.
Dr Akhrie, Nodal officer, NHAK Tele ICU, in his welcome address informed that it was a red letter day as it was the first time 38 new nurses were recruited for the 10 BedICU spread across Nagaland.
He expressed gratitude to the egov foundation for their equipment, support and service rendered.
ICU nurse, Phalneithem, shared her learning experience on the various techniques and skills. The program was chaired by additional director, HFW, SNO, Co- Convener, 10BedICU, Dr C Tetso.
