Four-lane joint action committee Dimapur by-pass has submitted a letter to the general manager of National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) demanding immediate payment of land compensation to the affected landowners.
In the letter, JAC convenor Keron Janger and secretary Zubeni Patton said if HIDCL was not in a position to disburse the land compensation, the reason for non-disbursement be communicated to the committee in writing immediately.
Pointing out that the money meant for compensation has already been sanctioned on January 12, 2016, JAC further said if NHIDCL was likely to take time beyond March 15, 2016, then the date of payment be made known to the committee in wiring including the reasons thereof.
