4 shops gutted in Kohima

Four shops were gutted in a fire that broke out at Jail Colony, Kohima on December 11 evening. However, no casualty was reported. Police sources told Nagaland Post that the incident took place at around 9:52 pm. It took one hour for three fire tenders along with 18 personnel to douse off the fire. Goods worth approximately Rs. 4 lakh was destroyed and the cause of the fire was suspected to be due to short circuit. Timely intervention from fire personnel preventing the fire from spreading further.  (Correspondent)
