
Out of 1500 households of Kevijau colony, 472 household received ratio card Saturday, at its council hall.
Speaking at the distribution programme, superintendent of food and civil supplies, Dimapur Jamonger highlighted in detail about the importance of National Food Security Act (NFSA).
Mentioning about equal distribution of the scheme, he pointed that orders have been passed to set up fair price shop in the colony itself under the name Jacob Achumi fair price shop and order of time and days has been fixed i.e. three days in a week starting from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, inorder to make it convenient for the beneficiaries.
Responsibility to distribute ratio card has been allotted to GBs and village council and therefore Jamonger asked them to keep up with the record.
Jamonger also informed that the department would be checking the availability of fair price shop after Independence Day.
The programme followed discussion hour where certain queries and doubts of the beneficiaries where clarified.
