4th biennial AGBCN women conference concludes at Singrijan

DIMAPUR

The three-day 4th Biennial Women Conference of the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) concluded at the AGBCN Mission Centre, Singrijan Village, from October 10 to 12, under the theme “Global Vision for the Gospel.”
The conference brought together over 300 delegates representing 34 Gorkha/Nepali Baptist Churches from across Nagaland. The event featured a series of worship sessions, cultural showcases and competitions aimed at strengthening faith and promoting unity among the participating churches.
Women Advisor of the Nepali Baptist Association Assam, Ambika Thapa Pradhan, and Dr. Igumpule Ndang served as the main speakers, delivering messages aligned with the conference theme. Bible study sessions were led by Youth Director of Kuki Baptist Church Medziphema, Utsha Rai Haokip, and in-charge Women Secretary of AGBCN, Manju Malla Pradhan.
Praise and worship was led by the Nepali Baptist Church, Padumpukhuri, while the cultural segment featured exhibitions, hymn choral competitions, traditional dance performances, Bible quizzes, and secretary report presentations, celebrating the rich heritage of the Gorkha community.
In her address, Manju Malla Pradhan encouraged the women to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment until the next conference in 2027.
Competition Highlights:
Hymnal Choral Competition: Winner – GBC Thahekhu; 1st Runner-up – GBC Chümoukedima Town; 2nd Runner-up – DTNBC Duncan.
Cultural Dance Competition: Winner – GBC Singrijan; 1st Runner-up- DTNBC Duncan; 2nd Runner-up – GBC Diphupar.
Secretary Report Competition: Winner – NBC Walford; 1st Runner-up – GBC Chümoukedima Town; 2nd Runner-up – NBC Kohima.
Bible Quiz: Winner – GBC Viola; 1st Runner-up – GBC Chümoukedima Town; 2nd Runner-up: GBC Diphupar.
