The 4th edition of the Nagaland Fashion Week (NFW) 2023, organised by the Nagaland Designers’ Association (NDA) concluded after a two-day fashion extravaganza from December 6 – 7, at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Center, 6th mile, Sovima, Chümoukedima.
The face of NFW 2023 was presented to Mesho K Jimo, who received a trophy, certificate, free training on hospitality aviation and cruise line sponsored by Emporium Nagaland and gift hamper by Iris Atelier.
The top 5 best models of NFW 2023 were Victoria Domeh, Sabir Swargiary, Ruth Chawang, Tekatila Imsong and Wekuteu Lasushe. They received gift vouchers from Emporium Nagaland.
The best collection award was presented to designer Mitchel Dzüvichü, who also received a gift voucher from Emporium Nagaland.
Held under the theme, “Native Epitome”, celebrating the rich and unique culture of the Nagas, with an aim to promote and uplift the Naga culture and the traditional attires, Naga textiles and interpret the rich traditions through the medium of fashion.
The inaugural and final day of the event were graced by special guests: Mission Director, Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency, S. Tainiu Khiamniungan, CEO Emporium Nagaland, Temjenkala Aier, and chief spokesperson BJP Nagaland and chairman (NSMDC), Kuputo Shohe.
The first day of the event included collection displays by designers Ovungbeni Humtsoe, Iris Atelier, Khruzolu Khesoh, The Gear Thrills and Sekuzo and Shasha.
Designers Rhüsü Grace, Veku Dozo and Mitchel Dzüvichü showcased their collections on the second day.
The choreographer for the event was Sanjeev Tamang. The hostess for the event were Athe Rhi and Modovina Mocha. The artistes for the event were Vekutalü, Kekhrowate-u, Asu Shijoh, Isaac.
The Nagaland Fashion Week 2023 was sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Nagaland and also Caleb Sha and Veduzo Sasü while the event partners were Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency and Annalia Beauty as makeup partner.
