Dimapur is all set to come alive with lights, lenses, and live performances as the 4th Nagaland Photography Festival 2025, will kicks off on September 19 and 20 at Mandeville Garden, Purana Bazaar. Hosted by the Photography Club Dimapur (PCD), this year’s edition carries the theme “Vision 360 – Vision in Every Direction” and promises to be a vibrant mix of art, culture, and entertainment.
The two-day extravaganza will feature not just photography exhibitions and workshops, but also live music, fashion shows, arm-wrestling matches, kids’ activities, and 40+ entrepreneur stalls, making it a family-friendly weekend outing.
Big names in the camera industry are on board, with Canon, Nikon, Lumix, and Sony leading specialized workshops. Canon will host a free servicing camp and a session on fashion photography with EOS Explorer Ashwini Barkataki. Nikon India Mentor Dikhit Das will run a storytelling video workshop with the Nikon Z-series, while Lumix Mentor Sanjeev Boro will explore the art of street photography. Adding to the lineup, filmmaker Wunna Kyaw—Sony Alpha Brand Ambassador from Myanmar—will conduct a filmmaking masterclass.
Festival nights will buzz with live entertainment: rapper Moko Koza will take the stage on September 19, while Mathu Zeliang will be the showstopper on the final day. Visitors can also enjoy a professional photo booth, a kids’ corner, and a photography competition, including an on-spot mobile photography contest.
In a unique twist, the festival will host an arm-wrestling showcase featuring six national players from Nagaland, followed by an open competition. With food, shopping, and entertainment packed in, the event aims to create a carnival atmosphere for Dimapur residents.
Entry is priced at just Rs.100, while children below five enter free. Details on the competitions and schedule are available on PCD’s Instagram page.
With the blend of photography, music, sports, and local entrepreneurship, the Nagaland Photography Festival 2025 looks set to be one of the most exciting lifestyle events of the year in Dimapur.
