A four-member delegation from the 4th State Finance Commission, led by chairperson Sarah R. Ritse, visited Mangkolemba Town Council (MTC) to discuss the town’s Five-Year Plan and assess key development needs.
According to DIPR report at a joint meeting, MTC officials presented an overview of the town’s challenges, including a lack of internal resources for essential infrastructure projects like market facilities, roads, and drainage systems. However, they noted that land availability could be a valuable asset for future development.
The Town Council urged the Finance Commission to help bridge the resource gap and support projects aimed at improving living conditions in Mangkolemba.
The meeting was attended by MTC officials, councillors, Ward Chairmen, Gaon Boras, and the general secretary of Jangpetkong Senso Telongjem Mangkolemba (JSTM). Participants actively engaged in sharing ideas and concerns, expressing hope that this collaboration would lead to positive outcomes for the town over the next five years.
