Women Entrepreneurs Network of Nagaland (WENN) is set to host the 4th edition of WENN Bazaar 2025 from October 2 to 4 at CT Square, Chümoukedima, under the theme “Year of Business Governance”. The bazaar will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Announcing this at a press conference, WENN chairwoman Alemjungla Jamir said the initiative aims to strengthen the business acumen of women entrepreneurs across Nagaland by providing an inclusive platform for growth, innovation, and sustainability. She noted that the bazaar, which began as a pilot in 2022, has grown into one of the most anticipated entrepreneurial events in the state. Jamir informed that this year’s edition will feature 110 participants—up from the initially planned 80—following overwhelming response from entrepreneurs across Nagaland and neighbouring states. The three-day event is expected to draw over 10,000 visitors and generate approximately Rs. 50 lakh in sales.
Beyond trade, the bazaar will host six specialized workshops on shiitake mushroom cultivation, calligraphy and bouquet making, traditional loin loom weaving, banana fibre paper crafting, solar-powered livelihood innovations, and business compliance and documentation. On-the-spot registration for FSSAI and Udyam will also be facilitated under RAMP, supported by the Department of Industries and Commerce.
Interactive zones will offer networking opportunities, peer learning, and family-friendly activities.
Sharing data on previous editions, WENN finance head Kewengule Therie said the 2023 edition saw 53 participants with Rs. 7.18 lakh in sales, while the 2024 edition expanded to 75 stalls, drew over 7,000 visitors, and recorded Rs. 8.36 lakh in sales. She clarified that all revenues go directly to the participating entrepreneurs.
Committee head Regina Chakrunuo highlighted that WENN has extended its reach to over 15 districts, and the bazaar has become a vital platform for women entrepreneurs to overcome marketing challenges. She added that eight districts of Nagaland and entrepreneurs from other North Eastern states will be participating this year.
Earlier, PR, WENN, Zakietsono Jamir delivered the welcome address, while associate member Temsusenla proposed the vote of thanks.
