5 AR nabs one NSCN (K) member

5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (North) apprehended one NSCN (K) member identified as ‘lieutenant’ Kivito Kiba from North Point Colony, Zunheboto Town on April 24.
According to PRO, HQ IGAR (North), Lt. Col. Amitabh Sharma, the arrested person was involved in collection of “illegal taxes and extortion activities” in Zunheboto Town.
PRO said one tax collection booklet and four duly signed tax collection slips were recovered from his possession. The apprehended cadre along with recovered items was handed over to Zunheboto Police Station for further investigation, PRO added.
