5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) recovered cache of arms, ammunitions and “warlike stores” from a forest in general area Asukhomi and Lizu Naghuto on March 28.
According to PRO IGAR (N) the recovered items included one 5.56 mm HK-33 Rifle with magazine, one 7.62 mm AK-56 Rifle with magazine and 66 live ammunitions and other warlike stores suspected to be hidden by the members of NSCN (K).
The seized arms and ammunition have been handed over to Zunheboto Police Station, PRO stated.
