Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) on Wednesday informed that 50 vehicles– mostly two-wheelers, were penalised for violating the one-way traffic rule set by the Kohima Village Council.
KVYO reiterated that the road from Mission Compound to Ura Academy remains a designated one-way route, with entry restricted for vehicles coming from Ura Academy, except for ambulances and emergency vehicles.
The organization expressed gratitude to the public for their cooperation in following the one-way traffic rule, particularly the Kewhimia community for their compliance, noting that none violated or were penalized, reflecting commendable community spirit.
KVYO also thanked the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) for adhering to the rule, as no taxis were found violating the regulation. Additionally, KVYO expressed appreciation the Kitsubozou Line taxi drivers for providing refreshments to volunteers stationed along the one-way route.
