The 51st Ura Academy seminar was held on December 16, at Ura Academy Badi.
A press release issued by Ura Academy stated that on the occasion, awards were given to top scorer in NBSE’s HSLC, HSSLC Tenyidie and Music subject and Nagaland University Tenyidie honours top one.
A book translation in English of “Apuo Kekhrie” written by Dr. Shürhozelie in 1992 was also released by professor D Kuolie.
Various excellence awards were presented where Niesasienuo Keyho from Baptist High, Kohima and Nusakulu from Government High School, Thuvopisu, were conferred the Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire Angami Award (HSLC – Tenyidie subject toppers). They received citations with cash of Rs. 10,000 each. Neishekhonuo Thami from Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima, was conferred the Rüzhükhrie Sekhose award (HSSLC – Tenyidie subject topper), who received a citation and cash award. Shekrolu Vero from Oriental College, Kohima, was conferred the A Kevichusa Award (undergraduate Tenyidie honours topper) and received a citation and cash of award.
Boremo Ngullie from Northfield Kikha was conferred the Nini Vinguriaü Lungalung Award (HSSLC topper in music), who also received a citation and cash award.
The vice president of Ura Academy, Daso Paphino also spoke on the programme.
The programme was chaired by president Ura Academy Rüpfhünuo, Dr. Metseilhouthie Mor; invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev Ketsozeho Sale; exhortation by president Ura Academy, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu; welcome address was delivered by advisor Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho, Kikruneinuo Liezietsu; special number were presented by Ato Nienu and Kekhriezonuo Celine Mere, vote of thanks was delivered by Medongulie Tseikhanuo while benediction was proposed by Rev Neikedozo Paphino.
