57th ‘Indo-Naga’ Ceasefire Day observed in Kohima

The 57th Indo-Naga Ceasefire Day was observed at Chedema Peace Camp, here, on Monday.

Delivering the message, Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) vice president, Rev. Dr. N Paphino Angami quoted from the Bible “blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.”

While sharing his concerns over the disunity among Nagas, Paphino urged all the Nagas to pray for national workers.

He called on the national workers to dedicate themselves and follow God’s direction like king Jehoshaphat in the Bible and exhorted how peace without Jesus was not real peace.

Paphino also urged national workers to imitate Jesus especially in forgiving each other, even their enemies.

Earlier the programme was chaired by development and project supervisor, NBCC, Rev. Thekrulezo Nagi.

Scripture reading and prayer was done by Christian education secretary, NBCC, Bideno Milon while Chedema Baptist Church youth presented a special number.

Later commissioning and blessing were done by Chedema Baptist Chruch pastor, Rev. Neivilieo Zuyie.

A mass prayer for peace was also held at the programme.
