58 SHGs avail loan under credit linkage

Under Micro Finance Program, the Nagaland Co-operative Bank Ltd. Mon branch released MT loan to 58 Self Help Groups for different types of agricultural activities on July 29 at mission centre. These SHGs are promoted and recommended to the bank for credit Linkage program by Hills Area Development Organisation under the banner of Konyak Baptist Church Association. 
Executive secretary KBBB cum executive director HADO, Rev. M. Chemyuh and branch manager NSCB Ltd. Mon branch, W. Chemkai Konyak took part as speakers.
In his speech, Rev. M. Chemyuh Konyak said that HADO being the development wing of the Konyak Baptist Churches Association has concern for the wellbeing of the local churches and its members and wanted to be of service for church growth spiritually as well as economically. In this regard, HADO took responsibility and stood as guarantor on behalf SHGs for credit facilities extended by NSCB. He also urged SHGs to utilise the loan money judiciously so that no group should become a defaulter. 
Branch manager, W. Chemkai Konyak explained in detail about terms and conditions of the loan and requested all SHGs to act accordingly. He also encouraged the groups that bank was always willing to extend higher amount to any groups who could recover the current loan within stipulated period of time. He said that proper utilisation and timely recovery of loan would be of great help for HADO as well as for the bank. Former HADO director, A. Peihwang Wangsa urged 58 SHGs to bring good reputation to HADO through their successful implementation in different endeavour. 
The program was chaired by literature secretary KBBB and former executive director HADO Peihwang Wangsa, invocation by Rev. Yinthao Pastor Mission Centre Baptist Church and vote of thank by chairperson.
